Default SYS flashes on dash!??

Had the vette sitting for a couple months and about a month ago I took it out and it flashed SYS every 15 seconds. It died on me because it got too hot and wouldnt start for about 20 minutes. Anyone know what could be causing the SYS to flash?

A low battery can cause that.
SYS flashing indicates an electrical issue

Probably a weak battery. My 92 sis the same thing. I changed the battery and all good.

I had the same issue on my 90 a few years ago. Change the battery.

Like everyone else says - battery - however, mine did this when the connection on the battery was just a bit loose. I snugged it down and problem solved. Worth a check before running out and buying a battery.

Most likely a weak battery but it could be most anything else related to the body's electrical system. Have the battery checked by a reputable shop (even Wally World does this) and if it's OK, scan the CCM for codes and go from there.

Did anyone mention checking the battery yet????

If mine isn't started every week I have to put the charger on it.
