When I drive my 84 crossfire around 55-70 mph i have a violent shake in my front end. but levels out around 75 also when my trans kicks into drive it acts like it is struggling to gain speed. do i have a u joint going out and need a front tend alignment or is it more serious?

check for bubbles in the tires or lose nuts or worn rubber bushings, also jack the car up and see if the wheels move around or r solid

After sitting all winter I had a bad shake that I didnt have during fall. I thought the winter had flat spotted my tires. I took it in and had um balanced and shake was gone. I would never have believed it, was sorta a last ditch effort as I knew I didnt have a shake in the fall. Not sure how the tires could do that, they are not wearing funny or have any lumps (ex tire guy so know what to look for in bad tire), no cords, no wierd face where some seperation had happpened.. Only thing i can think of is a weight had moved or fell off. Worth a check.

My 92 would go into a bad front end shake at 75...tranny was unlocking. $1800.00 later all is well.
