Default Header Horsepower Numbers?

Hey everyone. I have researched quite a bit on the simplest ways to make some extra horsepower and the common trend seems to be to add headers. However, I have not come across any numbers as to how much horsepower this will add. Does anyone know how much horsepower long tube headers add to the L98, and which headers will be the easiest to install?

The consensus seems to be 15-20 CHP on a L98. The easiest would be something like the Hedman Elite with 1 5/8" tubes and without AIR hook up. Summit sells them for about $360 IIRC.

That's a good avg posted by BADDUCK. Consider also that pipe improvements can raise the amount further.

Some people (who ask what HP improvements are expected) also miss the fact that headers improve performance across most/all rpms. Sometimes, the biggest improvement can be in midrange rpms where torque would be a better number for comparison.
