'91 Coupe: Tips on changing entire weatherstrip set
I'm looking for advice, tricks, and tips on changing the entire weatherstrip set on a '91 coupe. Also, when purchasing the entire set, is the latex version a better product in the long run, even though it's more expensive?

i would recommend getting the set thru willcox (via ebay). i'm thinking its pretty much corvette rubber pieces. i installed a set back in march on my son's 85 without issues. the hardest part of the installation is removing all the old rubber and cleaning the tracks and mounting surfaces. installation of the new rubber is the easy part.

Do all the weatherstrips have channel mouldings that they slide into to keep them in place? Is this correct?

the "A" and "B" pillars have channels plus some retaining screws at the ends, the doors have retaining screws at the ends, and plastic pushpins on the sides and bottom sections. the rear hatch is held in by a type of channel. i used very little adhesive - only at a few critical places. like i said, installation is the easy part.

Best advice is dry fit everything..dont put any glue (weatherstrip cement) on it until your sure you have it on right and it fits correctly. It may take quite a bit of fiddling to get it right, just take your time.
