HELP, I need recommendations for more real horsepower
I need real tips for adding horsepower to my stock TPI 5.7l. I dont need info like adding a K&N filter or pinching of a vacuum line somewhere, or the chip. I want real engine horse power!! What cam should I put in it, How much should I punch it out, how many pound injectors, what size throttle body, should I change out the runners, how about the ignition, headers or no headers, removing the smog pump.. REAL ANSWERS!!! This is going to be a long project and I want it done right! Im stripping it down and starting from scratch. This is my first corvette and like I said, I want it done right.
Thanks
Thanks

Do a little reading....search for member VADER86 and go to his web site. There is a ton of technical information on how to build HP. There is one thing you have to understand....HP cost money. Be ready to spend $4000 or more to get you going....and this is if you do the work yourself.

How much you looking for?
How much you going to spend?
What are your mechanical abilities?
Once we figure that out, we can point you toward documented threads that already exist on this forum. After 10 years of operations, the database here is huge.

Need to know parameters here. How fast do you want it in the 1/4mi or how much HP, budget, what you can do yourself, etc.

Street car, drag car, autocross, trailer, daily driver, weekend car? If money were no object, forget the C4 and get a C6ZR1.

The one (two actually) best mod was a cam. Mind you that I had already improved the exhaust system. The CompCams XE262 has great overall performance and definitely improved the mid-top end. (There is still the TPI restriction at the top) I also have a custom tune from PCMforless that really makes the difference.
Looks stock and runs twice as good. Sound much more like a Vette should.
