1/4 mile time for stock 91' L98???
Whats the average 1/4 mile time for a stock L98? My brother has a Mustang GT running 13.7-13.9 and I want to be able to beat him. Thanks

what kind of mustang gt is that....? year.....mods?.....thats a pretty good time for it....
you will probably take him at the beginning...but by the end....it will be very close.....very close indeedy....many variables to figure in....seeing it gonna be that close.....driver, standard vs automatic....gearing...his mods vs. yours (exhausts for example)...
bottom line.....get a jump on him right from the start....where you will be at your best.....and don't let off of it...that 2 tenths you can jump on him might be the determining factor....and don't get frustrated if he starts to creep up on you....or if he beats you by like half a car length...drive with respect and race with a good attitude....
keep it cool

I've only been to the track once so far, but my best was 14.00 at 98mph. At that time the car was bone stock and riding on old, dry rotted gatorbacks. I would suspect new tires and a little practice will yield better times.

My honest time with the stock gatorbacks was 14.1 @ 99mph. I think the 60 ft. time was around 2.1-2.2. There was no drag radials back then but I think with today's tire technology you could easily run high 13s.

Go to the local dragstrip on "test N tune" night. See what your car with you behind the wheel runs. Meet some vette owners to look at their cars and ask questions. Remember:
Speed costs money, how fast do you want to spend?
The more you spend, the faster you can go!
If you can handle the technicial aspects a then a Nitrous kit is your best bet.
Is this really your Vette, or daddy's car?

no nos, only what i listed. when my bro got this time he was on ET Streets and his 60' time was a 1.98 or something, and his trap was really low...only 94.5mph. so on the street i shouldnt have a problem...correct?
