I believe that he found it at Harchelroad Motors in Nebraska (the GM dealership that had a fire). He has had it for 2-3 years. I guess it could have been for sale at Carlisle at some point but not since my dad has had it.

ok it wasn't Carlisle but Bloomington Gold in 2007. It had a for sale sign in the window with a name/phone and price of 42500.

here are some of the pics I have of it. Some from the dealers site...some taken by the COG

There was a guy on here who was actually doing a 454 big block into his C4. He had a thread going for a while but I'm not sure what happened to it.

This was one of the questions I was curious about (if the stock L98 wiring harness, computer, and fuel related harness) could be integrated into the big-block and simply be tuned accordingly!
Sweet!

The big cube small block is the best solution, but damn, I get excited when I see a Mark IV or V BBC.

[QUOTE=mnstrlt1;1573300722]Those are some serious numbers, but I'm assuming it's from a solid-roller cam (which I have no problem with), high-compression, and some RPM's.... how street friendly is it?

most of the time I agree with your posts, but dude... have you ever had the pleasure of experiencing a monster motor?

that dam thing will snap your neck just popping the clutch off idle.

I've seen big-blocks that can SPIN too, not just low-rpm truck engines here.

at the machine shop i use to work at (years ago), the shop owner had a blown big-block chevelle that would break the tires loose on the freeway doing 70!
