Started happening out of nowhere...when I take off or sometimes when turning corners, a pretty loud clunking / banging noise happens atleast two or three times, sometimes longer. Seems to make noise in sync with the wheel moving but hard to tell, almost like it's catching on something or there's something loose in the brake system. After two or three times it goes away and all seems ok, but I'm pretty sure this is the prelude to something worse.

Took the wheel off - nothing loose and no signs of anything broken. Ideas ? The car is rarely driven hard, used as a daily driver. 95 LT1 auto w/57k miles.

1/2 shaft U joints.....install some new U joints.
