Intermittent start issue
I have a 1987 corvette, that I have just put a new engine in. The first time I try to start it, it fired right up, but had a miss. The longer it ran, the better it sounded, but it got harder to start, to the point it wouldnt start at all. The next day, I started to diagnose some things, and put a fuel pressure gauge on it, it had good fuel pressure, good spark, but when I hit the key it fired up, and ran really good, but it also ran a little high idle, so I turned the car off, came back about 4 hours later, and it wouldnt start again. I was thinking maybe it was the VATS , but would it still be able to rotate the engine, and still not fire the injectors? I thought if it wasnt reading the key correctly, it would kill both the starter and the injectors? I runs really good, when it fires, Its just the starting issue. any help appreciated.
