[QUOTE=PLRX;1571997062]More pictures, almost there
RTV
One thing I noticed if you look at the picture of the intake gasket. It looks like it's blocking part of the intake port up top. Did you trim the gasket or was it maybe a LT1 instead of the LT4 gasket or does it really matter.

[QUOTE=pr0zac;1572034758]The LT4 intake matches the LT4 gasket Pete is using. Unless you port the intake to match the 7777 gasket, it doesn't matter.

Big SNAFU here, you are correct the gasket is below the runner
You are 100%. I'll do it right or fail
No problem, it's just the intake and it can be easily done. I've ordered the 7777. It'll be done by COB Sunday

It's the right gasket. It's exactly how GM built the LT4. The 7777 plus porting will simply be some bonus power

Best thread I've seen on this site in years! Great write up, pictures, and an awesome job all around! You make me want to pull my LT4 out and start all over again. I want 30-40 HP more...that would put me above the stock C6's around here.

So I ordered the 7777 gasket, removed the TB, AIR line and the intake. Look the RTV or bolts thread sealant
were 7 days old and they were not totally dried.
Now the path is clear

Pete,
Is your intake ported to match the heads? If it is, then it was worth the effort to re-do the install. If it is not, then you will still have the port mis-match since an unported LT4 intake matches the LT4 intake gaskets you just pulled off.

Yes, the intake and heads were ported by Elliot Portworks (LE2). I went back and checked and yes, gasket 7777 were the ones I used first (before engine rebuild). I used Summit search engine and chose the stock LT4 gaskets. I did the swap in 1 hr 45 minutes.

Light coat of oil to ease up installation
Torque fuel rail to 89 lb in. These are FIC Bosch III injectors, no clips required.
Connect PS line and install belt pulley. Torque bolt to 24 lb ft.
ASR components up!
New LT4 TB plate
A/C and cooling are on place and to be connected tomorrow.
