I got these from Ecklers. I know its not a GS but they look pretty sharp. I think they were good for about 5hp. :D

hey kv.....how did you get your rims so shiny...iam in the process of refinishing mine....this is so far what iam planning....

1. I already removed all the clearcoat...for the most part my rims are perfect ....(they were sent out 2 years ago....all the dings and deep notches filled in...etc etc....
2. Figured i would start with wet medium grade sandpaper and wire drill attachments to sand/scrape the rims up.....then gradually move down to finer and finer of papers and eventually rubbing compound and steel wool?....
3. After this a superfine polish mix with sanding and wetting.....
4. Polish them up with Mothers Chome Mag Polish and should be done?

if iam not doing something right anybody please let me know...thanks...jeff

Thanks all, I really like the stripes. Extremevette, I posted about the wheels on your original post. Polishing any metal takes some time but it's worth it. If it were easy everyone would have polished wheels. The wheels are actually the easiest thing to polish on the car since they have so many flat smooth surfaces.

How about some ChromaLusion hash marks???

That way you would not have to decide on ONE color.

I spoke with an owner of a black 86 with red interior the other day, we talked about a red GS stripe and ChromaLusion hash marks.
