Default USM HSR finally here

Well here it is.
Angle is to clear the hood. It will be Wet black and the fuel rails will be orange after powdercoat. The porting looks awesome.

Only thing I see that is nasty is a few welds but they are on the back so no biggie.

Hoping to have everything on by next weekend.
If you choose to go with this intake purchase 2-3months prior to needing it.

Thanks for the heads up with the 2-3 month thing. Nasty welds or not, with some powdercoating she'll be good to go. Let us know of any install caveats - can't be worse than a SR can it?

What water neck will you be using? I ordered a miniram water neck. They they are Billet now and look great but it still hits the TB. I have to order a spacer and try it again.

PS: mine is not a USM its home made so your may work with the stock water neck

He is sending me a water neck that he changes to work. Idk what kind exactly but will ask him next time I email him.

The welds are all in places that are nearly invisible when installed with rails, dizzy, and TB.

They are taped over. If you look at the 2nd pic you can see a lil green where the tape is flipped up a little. I just left them covered for coating

Glad to hear it finally came in. Sure looks like USM does a lot of work to get that "air gap" style on an HSR.

Glad you got it, too bad you did not gt it from grumpy for 1/2 that price, and quicker time period.

(not being negative, just saying).

On their website it shows a water neck included in the adaptor kit - did they forget to send it or something?

Miniram is to short on runners for me. I wanted to keep some lowend tq.

mini has 4 inch runner
HSR has 5.5 inch

I wont be able to spin to 7000rpm
but should be good til 6500rpm which is just over what I want my next engine to spin. my current 383 will not see over 5500rpm so more midrange was desirable to me. This is a daily driver for an 18 year old kid.

the water neck as well as the revised TB bracket are on the way. He just shipped them at different times as the waterneck wasnt ready and the shipping was taken care of by him.
