I was wondering what your new intake setup looked like. I've got your old intake on my '85 I'm working on doing something different with my valve covers now. I'll snap a pic if I ever get back home.

Bought myself a powder coating gun and kit and a used oven. It works great!! I've learned how to polish metal and alumi. Polished my stock 92 valve covers, alt, TB, timing cover and fuel rails. Been polishing and powder coating for last 2 weeks. As soon as I get my camera back from my daughter I will post pics. Thanks to everyone for the pics so far please keep them coming. I've received some really good ideas from you all so far.
Thanks, Bob

A while back I decided I needed a driver so I went to a local car swap meet one day and bought an old 96 LT1 Coupe with 110K miles. One valuable lesson I learned the hard way when buying an old Corvette is when the seller states the car comes with a car cover... this likely means leaking weatherstrips all over the place, not because the owner was protecting the paint. The thing was also leaking so much oil that the entire underside of the car was coated with oil all the way to the back and dripping engine oil off the rear end housing and the mufflers. I knew the oil leaks would have to be fixed right away so I took everything apart about a week later and either cleaned everything or replaced it with new. I thought the LT-4 fuel rail covers looked a little better than the plain looking LT-1 covers it came with so I added them for a nice touch:

I disagree. The black/silver contrast provides much more interest. Anything all one color has to be STUPENDOUS to overcome the lack of contrast/detail. Even if perfect, one solid color is boring. (How many of Foose cars come out all one color?)

IMO, The car you posted looks more like an accident on the way to the bodyshop -- with overspray everywhere. In fact, it's deplorable compared to the examples above it!

Doesn't mean I don't get your point. I just disagree with it.

Im glad i did it the way i did, the car is silver, interior is black and silver, and I plan on adding black wheels to it. the solid black looks good too, just not my thing for this car.
