Default replacing injectors on 91 L98

Have a 91 with 19000 miles. Took into dealer for a slight miss at idle. His response was that 4 injectors needed replacement (they all had ohm readings in the 5 to 8 range he said). He suggests replacing all 8 but what they want will make me have to get a second job! Should I replace all 8 or just the 4 he claims are low ohms. The car never misses on acceleration or full throttle. I am assuming he will use new stock brand/type injectors. Comments?

Also, not happy with braking (my 74 with SSBC rotors and calipers) stops better. Fellow club members sing the praises of HAWK pads for improved performance and lower "gray" dust vs. "black" dust. I have aftermarket chrome 5 spoke rims and am constantly cleaning the dust! Comments?

Do not have the dealer install the stock expensive probmatic Multec injectors which are not alcohol compliant with todays fuels.

Buy the more efficient Bosch III injectors from member Jon Banner from www.fuelinjectorconnection.com $169 set of 8 (reconditioned and flow matched with a 3 year warranty) which Jon modified to fit the L98 fuel rails perfectly. The stock Multec injectors are about $65 each. Excellent customer service!

Also, Hawk HPS brake pads are the only brake pads I will ever use. Low dust and Great braking performance! I wipe the light brake dust, off of my chrome C5 ZO6 wheels once a week with a dry microfiber towel.

Contact FIC. His injectors won't cost you as much as stock injectors. If you do it yourself you will save a ton.

LISTEN TO THOSE ABOVE!!! If you are good with hand tools it is not a big deal to change them out my son (17) and I swapped a set out in less than an hour on ours with out taking all the fuel rail assmbly apart. It can be done! Hell when we went to FunFest a couple of years back he showed a couple of guys they where having a hell of a time installing some and I told him to go over there and give them a hand(one of the times he would listen) on how to do it and they couldn't belive that this kid could show them a little quicker way of doing things.

GOOD LUCK wro87

you have no mechanical experience, don't attempt the injector replacement, however if you do go for it and go with Bosch units from FIC no doubt about it (and replace them all no matter what).

Put the injectors in yesterday. Took 3 hours, didn't remove runners. They are working fine, no missing, good performance, smooth idle. Spent the last two nights idling through the Woodward ave. pre-Dream Cruise traffic and car ran just fine. So far, very happy.
