L98 engine build opinions
I value and thank you for any opinion/suggestions given. Being out to sea a lot my vette has sat in my garage for a bit, no that I'm on shore duty I was to bring back to life. This is not my daily driver, I just want to update the vette a bit before I retire in 3yrs so I can enjoy it.
I was thinking of upgrading the lower end to a 383

I want new heads but not sure which ones?
The tranny is getting old how do you figure out what TC to use?
If you've done the build before what would you do differently?
I've been doing searches on the forum and it's only produced more question.
Parts I have on my '90 coupe:
Mini ram intake
Hooker long tube headers
Power effects exhaust
accel 28lb injectors

being as youre in Ca how are you going to smog it with your miniram?
How you drive it, intake, etc would help us more as far as cam/head/intake requirements.

I would be looking for a short block based on your current 1 pce rear main seal engine so you don't have to clearance the front X member for the large 400 style balancer.
Example
Balanced and includes flexplate / balancer

I'm just stationed here in Cali, the vette is registered in Florida. I don't take the vette to the track just street driving, it's my take to work on Fridays drive on the weekend car. Just need enough to get me to highway speeds pretty quick. Just wanted more pep in the old girl. My tranny just gave out so I'm probably will start restoring it sooner.
