Its easy....however this is the perfrct time to do fresh injectors and new o-rings. Think about that while its apart. $250 for everything from FIC....
anyway....
pull PLENUM, distributer, throttle body off. Set aside somewhere.
remove runners both sides. Tie cables off to side. unplug in j harness and pull to the side and tie off.
After runners are off, NOW you decide if you want to do inj or not. if YES (advised) thyen pull the rail and lift off the inj with the rails.
Good time to clean out the EGR ports as well.
Pull intake, clean everything available,. new lifters if they rattle, new push rods if they look bent, Easy to pull covers abd check rockers and rods...
Remember to seal the bolts that go thru the intake. some can weep coolant thru if the bolt was not sealed when inserted. use a htread chaser in all holes. Clean holes make holes that can be torqued accurately.
Its not a bad job. A weekend if you go slow and do d/c saturday and reassemble on sunday.
Good luck, just take advantage of the access you will have and replace some stuff and clean up everything else.

Have you identified the intake as the actual source of the leak?
There are other items in the same area like the oil pressure sensors that are also common causes of leaks

Le Mans Master
I agree with Vetteoz above, the distributor can also leak if the gasket is missing or torn, but the oil sending unit has fooled many into doing a intake when it wasn't needed.......WW
