Default I am going to weld to ricer mufflers on

If one of those mufflers can make a weak 100 hp sound loud as ****, can you imagine how LOUD and the god awful sound that would come out of two of them on a V8? I just typed up the title to get you guys to jump in. I would probably pass out if I saw mufflers like that on a sports car. It has also come to my attention that the cars that run them are all weak cars. I suppose they may shoot off like rockets if you stomp the gas on a powerful car? Strangely enough, one of those fart cannons are LOUDER than my true dual no cats and flowmaster 40 series. That is insane but it sounds so terrible when they zoom by and lock it in 2nd gear that it makes my ears ache. Discuss how you think a C4 would sound in terms of loudness with two of those P.O.S. mufflers. Thats a big IF they would even stay on the car when you stomp the gas. Better call in the air force, we have URM flying thru the air. (Unidentified Ricer Mufflers). Any one know how they get so loud with such a weak engine when the C4s are loud but not as loud even with a modded exaust/muffler eliminators. Now I know someone is going to jump in and proclaim there muffler eliminators are louder but I had straight pipe all the way thru before and I heard some that are still louder. I also know that someone will jump in here and say that im going to weld them on because they didn't bother reading this discussion post about them being on a C4...

As if hearing those mufflers a block away isn't annoying, I live on a street where they always go down. I am truly suprised cops don't get these noisy things ticketed how much faster do these guys really think there cars are over a regular muffler verses a noisy piece of garbage?

They're noisy because you're going from a 2" pipe into a 4-4.5" outlet and the exhaust note reflects in the open area to produce that sound. If you ever had time to look at most of those mufflers, they resemble a coffee can in size as the chamber is about 6" deep, giving the exhaust plenty of reflection area.

I've got 3.5" flowmaster tips on 2.5" pipes and at 3k the noise is loud enough to hear a mile away - no kidding.

I read the title and ran to get my flame thrower!...Alas, false alarm.

BTW, the real reason for the fart can is that the wide opening dissapates the blue smoke more quickly.

Amplitude of the sound wave is influenced by the size and positioning of the wing, so make some careful measurements of the Ricer you want to emulate before making this change.

There is a mid 90's firebird WS6 with 2 of the rice exhaust tips on it. It resonates and sounds okay but it looks kinda ridiculous.

Just curious..do you feel the same about Harley's which are terribly slow by todays motorcycle standards? I mean really, they're not fast, not sport bikes so what's with all the noise??

How does your car get that tone with no mufflers? Mine sounded just loud and trashy with no mufflers.
