Default Wiper Blades hood clearence?

With the C-4 narrow clearence has anyone found a "new style" wiper blade that works?

Was at Advance Auto picking up some Chevron Techron fuel cleaner since it was on sale and saw some wiper blades on sale. I could use a pair and like the new style but look like they won't fit under the hood.

Have an 1989 Coup

I use ANCO on my 96'. They fit great/without problems.

Default I hate wipers

I think when it comes to wipers it trial an error. I had found a set that worked great of the newer style wipers. When I was stopped or on city streets they cleared perfectly, or so I thought.

I cruised down the freeway a few days later and got caught in some rain. I turned on the wipers and they scratched that spot under the hood so now I have 2 little paint chips there.

Since then I've stuck with the GM wipers to be safe.

lol, not that this advice really helps but I thought I would share.

I ordered the Anco Aero Advantage Low Profile wiper blades. Designed to clear C4 and Caddy XLR hoods with no problems.

Why not buy the rubber refills for your stock blades? No more hood clearence problems.

The refills work ok, but considering the metal support are getting old and could use replacing I would like to go with a more modern design like the Anco Aero Advantage if they retract correctly

They do. Fit right as rain on my '92. Ditto for Trico Exact Fit.
