Participated in a local autocross while on 'business' in Virginia...held at a Amphibious Naval Base 'boat' ramp. Ie. Hovercraft launching area...huge, nice concrete ramp to the Chesapeake Bay. (yes if you loose your brakes into the water you go!)
My new treaded Nitto 555 IIR's and second gear torque kept up with the Jones' with no ill effects. I think with work on the driver part...the Mini would have been a non-issue...
Cool beans!

Good job. Great looking car. You think your 96 is an "old" c4. Try my 84! It more than holds it's own.
First autocross in rain/wet conditions so throttle restraint ended up being the word of the day. 80+ mph tire speed on the short straights didn't make for smooth driving-thrilling and fun to watch, but not quick.
Unsure of the actual competitors capabilities...first event of the season here-lots of rust to knock off, I would imagine.
Nonetheless, great to roll off the street and into competition without so much as a tire pressure adjustment.
Got another one on Sunday...this time in Florida (825 miles away)...

And I can testify to it as well Willie....If all of the trophies that you won just racing that car at Infineon Raceway were made of gold, in todays market you would be a multi millonaire many times over...
