Default C4 Corvette - Online Aerodynamics Model

I stumbled across an interesting Free Online flow simulator called “Flow Illustrator”
You can upload your own Bitmap images into it, so I figured I would try out a C4

Don’t know how accurate it is but fun anyway
See if I can get everything to post, got a little blurry eyed playing with this all day

The Bitmaps I made from a C4 technical drawing

And the Youtube videos, quality isn’t to good, unfortunately

My C4 with a Greenwood Body Kit

& With radiator open

The home page for Flow Illustrator is

http://chernyshenko.sesnet.soton.ac....lustrator.aspx

You can modify & use my (24 bit) Bitmaps above
Click on bitmap and upload your image
2 :1 ratio images are best 640 by 320 , 512 by 256, etc
Re = Reynolds’s number = I used numbers in the 2,500,000 to 6,000,00 range
Dt = leave this alone, has to do with quality
Sec = video time – Anything over 40 sec takes forever.

Have fun!!!

And the C6

For some reason, a few of these videos won't stop themselves?
I'm trying to figure out why

Assuming the simulator is correct, it looks as if the air patterns behind the C6 are quite a bit less turbulent (if that's the right word) compared to a C4. I'm not an ME so can anyone say what this means?

Also, it would be interesting to see what effect the actual underbody has on the simulation since neither the C4 or C6 are completely flat on the bottom. I would think the suspension and driveline components would play a significant role in the flow pattern.

Why are there no tires? I would imagine they play a huge part in aero. One because they are quite wide on our cars, thus fill in a fair bit of the underside. And also because they rotate and disrupt a lot of air in doing so.

Still, pretty neat!
