Opti alternative?
For now, I'm sticking with the opti, just bought an MSD unit.
But for those looking for an alternative.
Getting the dash to work might be a real PITA though

Just what I need Bryan something else to spend money on ! LOL
I already put on LS 1 Timing Cover w/crank trigger just in case I wanted to switch.
The OPTI's are good till about 6800 which covers me unless I decrease compression from 9.8 but right now I looking for another supercharger before I waste money paying off credit cards !
I hate being responsible ! Would rather play !
Just don't want to sacrifice A/C cause it's too Hot in Texas for a street car without it.
I know they got complaints and likely fixed the problem but I would locktite your screws that hold down the rotor cap anyway.

MSD Opti: I bought one to install at the next opportunity...seemed quite high quality/rugged.
Installed it and found a variable rev limiter from 6000-7000 rpm from mile one of the installation. I tried different things for a couple days and finally installed a new OEM GM Opti...no changes...engine runs to 7200 fuel cut.
I got my money back. I was very disappointed especially with the work involved for a failed product. Percentage wise, many issues with the unit.
I hope you have better luck.
By the way, MSD did warranty the fix...new Opti sensor and cap-I did not reinstall-returned to vendor for refund.
