Default Question for Pete K

Trans fluid flushed, filter changed and Lubeguard added.

The torque converter still shudders at 60mph or faster under light throttle, but not as bad as before.

Does this take some time to go away with the fresh fluid and lubeguard? Would another bottle help?

Thanks!

Did you get a reply?

I have similar issues. If I give it enough gas to accelerate but not drop into Drive from Overdirve there is an awful noise from somewhere. It doesn't have to be above 60 mph either. I can't pin it down. Thought it may be a exhaust rattle but noting seems to be loose.

No response yet. The shudder happens only at part throttle over 60mph. More throttle, less shudder.

Mine is the same. It's just a slight amount and something rattles like crazy or vibrates.

I've got a similar problem. When I'm in OD and when I get right at 70mph, when I hit the throttle I get a shudder that comes from the engine.

I'm gonna add some of that Dr. Tranny anti-shudder. I think it is made by Lubegard.

By the way, which should one get: LUBEGARD ATF Protectant (Red bottle) or LUBEGARD Highly Friction Modified-ATF Supplement (Black bottle)? Why would one need the friction modifier?
