Default Tuning software for a '90 L98? Or chip only?

Do they have tuning software for '90 model Vettes with L98 TPI motors? I would think there is, but I've been told there are only chips.

I have a friend who wants to mod his '90 Vette mildy and will definitely need a tune. Not sure how it works on an older model.

they use a chip or eprom that has to be burned with a chip burner. Moates.net has all you need for less than 250 or so

Two choices.
If doing "common" mods then can buy tuned chip from several sources; PCM for less ,etc

or buy the Moates Ostrich emulator and have ability to do own real time tuning.
Ostrich can be left in car full time or after tune finalized , could get someone to burn the tune on to chip.

Dude, APU1 autoprom package from Moates.net. If I am thinking right you can emulate, tweek your code, then burn the chip. I have a 1990 and when I get to your stage that's what I am going to do.

Lt1pcmtuning.com

I used this site to find info on tuning. It covers TPI, TBI and LT1 tuning. Lots of links to venders and forums for tuning.

Moates is no longer in business, a shame because his hardware was top shelf.
