Default Best way and locations for Trans temp gauge installation

Hi guys im thinking in installing a trans temp gauge
what' the best way to install this ?
i have no idea how to run the cable or where to install it
any pics ?

I have not pics availble, but I mounted my gauge in a singe pillar pod at the very bottom of the A-pillar. That way, it is at the perfect eye-level and doesn't interfere with your steering (I used double stick tape). I'm not a welder, so I had someone else drill a hole in the side of the pan, near the back and weld it in. No leaks. Good investment.

Sounds like a good course of action. Make sure it won't scrape where the weld is. If it got ripped out from road debri, that certainly would not have a happy ending.

Does the sensor fits just into the drain plug kit ?
i have the B&M Drain plug,if its fits exactly there acting like a cap
would be really easy !

I don't know if it qualifies as "best", but it's an option:



That is an inspection port. The sending unit threads in perfect. I did that on a 4L60E(same trans) I have.
