Fel-Pro VS 50443 R is labeled as being for the 92-96 but as you can see there is a noticable difference. Way too skinny to fit snugly in the grooves. I had planned to install dry but I think I would have to totally glue these down to keep in place during install. Kit also included uneeded grommets.
I know starting somewhere in 1993 the composite plastic valve covers were introduced. The 1992 has magnesium ones that are different in several regards
...I should have checked the box a long time ago *sigh*

I ran into this same problem when I replaced the valve cover gaskets on my '92 LT1 a couple of months ago. Buy gaskets for a '91 and they will fit perfectly. Fel-Pro part number is VS 50293 R.

I would refrain from using any adhesive or sealant on a PermDry gasket though; better to pick up a set of the '91s and test fit.

Mine V/C's are different, but the old and new gaskets looks like the same as in post 1.
I put 'em in with Trans-X, and they swelled up like balloons. I got 'em in the little groove, and seated, and no problems...
