Anything is possible.. I once read that someone did a RX7 and there are Electric drag cars. Try Google'in or Yahoo search for Electric converted cars. Don't underestimate how powerfull and quick a modifed electric car can be..

Default How about a Triumph?

A Spitfire that came into my shop for some suspension work awhile back...

Under the hood:

Same guy has a Suzuki Samurai that he converted to electric power (we worked on that one too!)

But then you would need to install outside speakers and play a CD of a throbbing V8 whenever you accelerated...

Do a search on the Tesla experimental car. It is an electric sports car that they are claiming will go 0-60 in 3 seconds and top out at over 200mph. It is a VERY cool looking vehicle and reminds me a little of the C6.

Their claim is 3.9 sec 0-60 and 125mph top end.

Anything is possible with money…. A whole lot of money
You would have to remove the entire drive train and probably rear suspension redesign the rear end to incorporate the Tesla’s motor and rear suspension. Install the batt pack under the hood in a location that would best help with weight distribution, rig the brake booster to a vac pump to maintain power braking or replace the system with non boosted brakes, remove power steering. And most importantly LIGHTEN the car severely probably by 1000 lbs

and probably 100 other things that I cant think of right now

You would have to crush the C4 to get it in the electric car.
BUT you could put the electric motor in the C4!

I had a Prius stuck inside my left front wheel once.....cause a hell of a wobble. Had to pry it out with a large screwdriver.

does that count?

A lot of people dont realize that the electric powered vehicle is going to do a lot more damage to the environment in the long run, as in the disposal of old batteries (lead based), and the power to recharge them will cause our electric bills to go sky high, as if they arent high enough already. As far as a long trip, where do you recharge? Just a few thoughts.

my favorite is the hybusa engine in a smart car. taking one of the baddest street bike motors and bolting it into a smart car is just cool. i bet the owners suprise people at the stop light drags. the videos of those things on youtube are great !
