Latest GM BIN for your car...
(Crankin' out some posts to justify this new forum to Troy!)
GM came out with upgrades to the BIN over the service life of the car. The MemCal retained the GM parts number; but the BCC code on the chip shows what BIN it has.
Ordering an OEM MemCal from 18carfan will get you the last BIN that GM released for that year/application. This is the best way to start off for a custom-burned chip. You can compare the BINs and see what GM changed, and usually figure out why.
My chip/BIN was the AMJ0499; the new AARL0122 MemCal/chip has *lots* of changes from the '86 release. Spark advance; injector pulse width; fan temps...
...Whether the car runs any better with it is still in debate... :D
Oh, yeah - you can look up a BIN at this site to see if it's any use to you (or find out what it's from/for) -
