Some AFR Eliminator pics for you guys...(vid addded)
Havent seen much of it on the board, thought I would throw these up.
What a badazz head these are. Once you spend some time really looking at them you can appreciate the time into the design.
The exhaust seat/valve setup is simply awesome. If you can get the dough, these are worth every penny.
First........ some LT1 stuff for comparison..
These went to 250/180ish on the initial cutting...Starting over to go hog wild, it will be some time before they are "done"...Cant seem to do a little bit and leave things alone
Havent done anything with the one on the right yet

Very nice work! Do you plan on smoothing the intake or will you leave it as is?
I've got the valves out of one chamber of my 195 Eliminator Streets and they are definitely a work of art. I can't wait to get the motor done so I can see what the heads can do.
The more I look at the port surfaces, I wonder if I should get out the sanding rolls and carefully smooth out the ports and chambers. My eye says yes but my brain keeps saying no .......

Yeah, I can visualize exactly what they are trying to get with the port shape. I was especially impressed with the flow guides in the exhaust port . That shape is exactly why I'm hesitant to do any blending work.
Did you do your work solely with sanding rolls?

looks like a different camera.
Ron curious to see the before and after #'s from the porting. I think I will leave mine alone. They flow some serious numbers from a 195cc head allready.

you need to post the before flow numbers when the heads were "stock cnc from afr" and post smoothing the cnc cutting marks...i would be interested in seeing the difference, i know lingenfelter typically charges 300 for smoothing out the cnc cuts...but i dont know the true benefit

Played with the intake bowls... curiosity got the best of us.
Intake picked up 7cfm
Exhaust picked up 10 cfm.
Gains were all at higher lifts with 0 loss anywhere in the curve.
The way I interpret it these are real efficient heads as they are, only way to grab more is to start hitting walls which we wont.
Intake runners themselves are untouched, no "cutting" done to exhuast.

What are you using to smooth them out?

Rick, still in the testing process.
Couldnt leave well enough alone , but lets say these 185s now make numbers similar to a 195 AFR street head with 0 intake runner work. Owner is happy and screwing the mill together.
Nice, efficient piece IMO.
