Welcome
I remember the driving over there to be a little nuts!
Of course all I had was a little 4 banger, which the crew were happy to have since the last cars were 3 bangers
Don't worry we'll get you back up and running again.

yeah dont worry about the rpm! that reset when I turned the ignition
Still waiting to get a picture, all I can tell you atm is that it has a top mounted carb/airfilter but not the gray/black crossfire box thingy

looks like a carburated engine not fuel injection. It's got an old, really old edelbrock air cleaner on it from this picture, probably got tired of the anemic power of a crossflow and put and older small block in it. good luck

Another thing that is interesting aside from the rear just saying "VETTE" instead of "CORVETTE" is the rear license plate area is extremely large almost like the ZR1 license plate area?

Hmm, didnt notice that..Manual air car, too.
Id be real curious trying to find out the story on this car..
THe VIN# (visible through bottom of windhsield, drivers side) and the PNs off the ECM (Edit: oops,. under dash !) could tell us a lot about it.
Would you mind posting them up?

I know when the 3rd brake light started in the US, but did it start earlier overseas?
I know the the GS flares were actually on all Corvettes that went to Japan, along with a set for the front, long before they became part of the GS package.

I would guess the export bumper would have a wider plate area since some countries have really wide license plates. There also don't appear to be any reverse lights there?
