Default 85 bellhouse ?

4+3 transmission out of car.

would it be easier to seperate bellhousing and trans then install ?

Default Just an idea

I think that the bellhousing bolts are hard to get to with the transmission installed. I heard this from a GM tech.

It can be done as a unit but it would be easier to install bellhousing first. The top two bolts are tough to access.
