Removed the one on my 88 coupe a year ago and no problems. Lightens things up about 10 lbs and cleans up the front of your engine.
Welcome, you will find alot of great info here.

I took it off my 90 vert today, seems a bit more zippy. It took about 15 mins. What was really weird was that the bolts were between a 13mm and 12mm, and they were not rusty. 13mm wrench was a really sloppy fit. 7/16 wrench as too small.

My only caution would be to brace yourself while doing it, and not slip and bang the A/C lines or anything else. That stuff is getting old, and it will hopefully last a long time if not disturbed.

Default frisbee.

Im going on vacation tommorrow, so when I get back its off. I bought this vert new in 89. Its always been pampered and well taken care of. I live in California so I have to leave the engine pretty much stock.

You might consider aluminum under drive pulleys too. That will improve CHP a bit and make you rev a little quicker.

.....welcome to the jungle!...

....1st, you need to fill out the rest of your profile so that we know what year your car is!....

...if you plan on keeping your car, you need to buy a helms service manual!.....

...the frisbie is a nickname for the round flat heavy steel disc that is attached to the "upper" pulley that gm installed to creat a "drag" on the belt thinking that it would stop the belt from "slapping" around when the a/c kicked in......it was useless and of little or no value!
