Frisbee removal
Hi all. Just joined your forum this past week. You have the best vette forum available. Have learned tons from reading posts. I have a 89 vert. I saw the post a bout the frisbee removal. Its ok to do so? Never heard of this. Thanks.

Removed the one on my 88 coupe a year ago and no problems. Lightens things up about 10 lbs and cleans up the front of your engine.
Welcome, you will find alot of great info here.

took mine off today
My only caution would be to brace yourself while doing it, and not slip and bang the A/C lines or anything else. That stuff is getting old, and it will hopefully last a long time if not disturbed.

frisbee.
Im going on vacation tommorrow, so when I get back its off. I bought this vert new in 89. Its always been pampered and well taken care of. I live in California so I have to leave the engine pretty much stock.

......it has nothing to do with emissions so, take it off and save it....you can always put it back on later..

....1st, you need to fill out the rest of your profile so that we know what year your car is!....
...if you plan on keeping your car, you need to buy a helms service manual!.....
...the frisbie is a nickname for the round flat heavy steel disc that is attached to the "upper" pulley that gm installed to creat a "drag" on the belt thinking that it would stop the belt from "slapping" around when the a/c kicked in......it was useless and of little or no value!
