It depends on your car how much you can lower it by removing/moving shims. My car only had 1/4"-3/8" of shims. I know of one car that didn't have any. I don't think an inch is possible with the factory shims.

You'll need some spring work to get that much. Also, I would use the shims that you get with the lowering kits. You won't loose that much (1/8"less lowered?) but it will keep the surfaces from impacting each other.

Looks like Im gonna have to take out the spring to get it that low. thats gonna be fun :smash:. maybe Ill replace the spring with one from vette brakes that comes already with the lowering pads.
