Default I'm guessing bad injector(s) ?

I have a recurring problem. Every few thousand miles I lose the left O2 sensor. While driving she cycles in and out of closed loop displaying the SES light appropriately. When the light is on and she's in open loop, she runs fairly well but once the light goes back out she runs like a dog with fleas, surging, missing, etc.

I'm guessing a bad injector (or two) in the left bank is fouling the sensor? What do you guys think?

Ohm the injectors and post the results. ( they should be at around 15-16 ohms).

I would start with using a FSM to troubleshoot the code. You will most likely need a scan tool to view O2 sensor voltages while in closed loop. It's about the only way to tell what the sensor is doing. Next, you can ohm all the injectors and see if the injector coils are within range. They should be 12-13 ohms, if stock, on the LT1 cars. The 16-17 ohms posted above are for the 85-91 stock injectors. As long as they all ohm over 10 ohms and group close together, they coils are in good shape. You can also see if one or more is leaking with a fuel pressure gauge and the proper procedure pinching the lines.

Doubt it.
Did you ever think that maybe the O2 sensor is just taking a sht?

Four times in a row? Nope, something is causing it to take a sht.

Don't the later model engines have injectors that ohm at a lower reading? He has a 95 and I believe his should ohm around 12 ohms or so.

Anyone with the ohm reading for a 95 please straighten me out.

Thanks,

Jake

You've put 4 O2 sensors in?
