Default Stealth ram Stroker #'s

Planning on running my stealth ram on a 388 and just wondering what kind of numbers do people have with this intake and strokers?

Do you now that stealth ram doesn't clear the stock C4 hood?

12.16 @112mph untuned first trip to the track. I would think low 11's were obtainable with right gears and converter if automatic.

I know about the clearance issues and and have looked at ld85's pics alot. but i also like the look of the riser hood so im not sure if i should make it clear the stock hood. As in ld's detailed account i believe he has done some things to make it flow better and would like to implement those ideas. i was hoping around low 12s to high 11s but a higher stall and maybe a dana 44 would be in order before something blows up.

Very nice John,, routing the wire looms and plug wires is not a big deal,, I see you have a NOS setup, I may have to pick your brian after I get back from the track in mid Septemeber.

Not a stealth ram but close. My 91' Vette with the destroked 400 block=370ci ran a best of 11.7@121MPH with a crappy 2.2 60ft. Makes 440rwhp with a small 236/236 solid roller cam. I just bought a CCW drag pack so I'm hpoing for a low 11sec pass with a good 60ft...My intake was portmatched to my Brodix heads as well..I also am running the 1300cfm monoblade throttle body..Built the motor myself in my garage at home...

10 to 1 compression...I probably would go 10.8 to 1 if I had to do it again...But at 10 to 1 I can add NOS or a turbo later if I want..

Nitrous can be safely added at about any compression...

boost however is a different animal...and at 10:1...you'll be lucky to get maybe 6psi non-intercooled before massive failure

10 to 12psi of boost with an intercooler can be done pretty easy with 10/1 compression...Static compression isn't as important as dynamic compression is when it comes to boost. So it really depends on the valve events of your cam...

this is very true as well - good point...

and i didnt know if you would be intercooled or not...an intercooler makes all the difference in the world...typically 6-8psi non-intercooled at that compression level is about it...more if intercooled/built motor/correct cam choice/etc...

my friend found out the hard way with his 10psi non-intercooled on his LS1 camaro

The stock LS1 pistons are junk, plenty on NA motors have broken pistons as well as boosted. Its a factory flaw in the piston. They drill a DOT right on top of the piston ringland to mark the forward position which causes the ringland to fail...Happened to me..
