my trans shifts fine and is strong in all 4 gears but if i slow down to between 25 and 40 mph is sems like the tranny does not know what gear to use. won't engage any gear until I slow down more or rev up engine. If i slow down enough for it to downshift no problem, if i down shift manually no problem. any ideas?

Mine is the same way but mine is good up to 30mph. Between 30 and 40 is the deadspot I feel too. Cause it will kick down to a lower gear 1st when you stop it under 30mph. The bad spot sucks I wanna get rid of it maybe can be tweaked with programming to be less of a gap.
