No worries mate, are they reasonably reliable? How well do they hold up to the under bonnet temps? Washable and reusable?

i have used before uni filters before on my race goped scooter and early toyota celica twin cam years ago and they were good.
held up to the heat well, you can wash them out in warm soapy water and then dry them and pre oil them.
they give good filtration as well.
come in different colors like red, green, blue and so on and in different sizes as well.
not a bad set up for that certain type of intakes.
cost is around $ 40.00 for a pack ot two.

that is exactly the reason ,and the fact that a wrist watch is smarter than the stock computer.

bloody foock that was funny !

now here is a question from me :

how will the new computer work with the rest of the systems in the car like ABS, ASR air con and any other thing that would be controlled by the factory computer

A 91 corvette use a Speed density system ...it's MAP controlled ..NOT MAF.
NOT MAF on 90 & 91.
And just to be accurate....the 90 and 91 uses 727 ECM NOT 730.

Nice looking manifold, and ~$2800 USD is a steal. I'm used to seeing similar intakes for 4 & 6 cyl cars for $4-6k.

It looks wicked sweet, but for the money you could gain more power with other upgrades. What I like most is that this intake is geared for "extreme low to midrange".

So is a cetrifugal supercharger, and while it may cost more, it gives more too. It all depends how much you really want i spose...

this is a good question that i can not answer as the 85 doesnt have ABS and i have taken the air-con out, although i did have to rewire the overdrive for the 4+3 back through the computer.
Haltech do advertise the E6GMX as a replacement computer and i think that it most probably does run these systems but i would check with them first.
cheers boschvette

yes you can make more hp with a blower but you may not be quicker, there is a blown LT4 in our club that makes 640 rwhp that just beats me down the 1/4 (he beats me by about a car length) but when we go to the track i beat him by over 6 sec because it is not a usable power.i prefer N/A grunt anyday.

hello bosch vette,
i saw the haltech website and they sell the e6gmx computer for $ 1,395Australian dollars ,but you said it cost $1,000.
where did you buy your computer from please?
so you need a small cap dist, 8x uni filters, after market computer, any thing else you need to convert this thing?
so its going to add up close to $ 5,200 of your dollars ( australian).
it must be worth it though with all that extra power you get from it.
regards
shae
