Slight stumble at about 2100rpm
I need a little input.........I'm a carburetor and points ignition sort of guy, just starting to learn about the computer, fuel injection and hidden behind the water pump distributor. My motor is stock with a 6 speed tranny. It seems to have a slight uneven idle and when I start going through the gears, it's got a real slight but noticeable stumble (just momentary) when I come up to about 2100rpm, then goes away. It only occurs at that point in the rev. I've recently replaced the "distributor". Like I say, I'm JUST starting to learn these motors and the new technology so anybody got any help. Would I look in timing, injection system or what?

Charley, Please fill in your profile so we all know what year of car and engine it is, it will help, lots of variations.
Just for starters, get yourself a fuel pressure gauge to connect to the fuel rail. A fuel pressure check is a good start to troubleshooting these problems. And you will always use that gauge, it takes the guess work out of it.
