Don't forget the $$ factor for using the ZF and the overhead cost for making it work. Two indestructible T56s using the Viper 32 spline output shaft and swappable 5th and 6th gears could be built in the time, money, and blood sweat and tears trying to make the ZF work.... lol If someone does find "the" solution i'm sure the zf will be a more popular choice...
Nice progress Jeff!! Glad to see it comming together so well and I do like those valve covers. One day I'll finish mine... For the past 6 months work has taken a large amount of my time and I can't dump the $ right now like i initially did.
I've decided that getting the engine to its final configuration is more importaint than finishing the interior right now. I was going to go with a N/A setup first, then I thought turbos but I didn't want to kill the exhaust system I built... I've decided on a Kenne Bell 2.6 or 2.8L supercharger so I'm pulling the engine back out to build it for boost (compstar rods and forged pistons). Put some LQ9 heads on it and button it up. One day... lol one day
Dont fret my fellow CF brothers and sisters, a nice Blown LS1 84 vette with a C5 interior will be rolling around some time in the future.

Thanks for the reply.
The design and workmanship of the bracket looks very nice. Were
the pieces it is made up from perhaps cut with plasma or water jet?
The slots appear to have been milled. It would be nice to see it when
you are finished with any further cosmetic work that might be in store.
It doesn't look like it will be an easy item to reproduce inexpensively for
sale to other swappers that are interested in using a Tremec.

Pieces were cut out using a waterjet and the slots were milled as well. The only thing I need to do to finish it is powdercoat it. And I'll do that later.
Anyways on to more pictures. Trans bracket in, clutch in C-beam mounted. Need to do some work on the driveshaft. Wiring harness will be here by friday and then I need to assemble my dash with the gauges.

Another update. I got a driveshaft made to fit the T56. I still need to hook up the throttle cable and the radiator (it's out being repaired) and then I'm basically ready to fire the motor. Also have a small bit of wiring left to do.
Here are a few updated motor shots.

Great Pictures Jeff. Its really nice to see you making progress. Are the exhaust manifolds stockers of some sort? The look like casts is why I ask.
Cool!!!!

I currently don't have the time to fab up some headers. I will do that in the winter. I just need to get it on the track and check out the rest of the car.

What PCM are you using?
I also am guessing since it is a track car, you ditched the CCM and are running aftermarket gauges?? OR?
So far from what you have posted it is very COOOL looking

Using a PCM from a 99 Vette that I built for a friend that he went and wrecked.
No CCM at all. Using autometer gauges in a sheet metal dash.
And thanks.

Is the T56 that much longer than a ZF? I ask because I wasn't expecting the C beam to fit so close to the trans given how far forward you have moved the engine. Just wondering where the distance was taken up. Also, I see you used the Fbody(maybe?) oil pan instead of the vette pan like Chris did. Is the pan still above the engine craddle or does it hang down slightly? i can't remember the numbers off the top of my head but I thought the Fbody pan was like 1 or 1.5 inches lower than a vettes.
Looks great so far. can't wait til you get that thing moving down the road proving all the naysayers wrong.
