hi there guys,
i was just wandering where the best place is to buy a custom size serpentine drive belt please?
and what brand is best to buy also please?
the size that i need after measureing is 77 " long in a 6 rib by 25 mm wide.
the belt is for my csr brand electric water pump upgrade for my l98 engine!

Well if you have a contact in the US send them to NAPA or any other parts store. If not, I believe you can buy from www.gates.com directly.

You can order just about any Goodyear Gatorback from Summit.
They run quiet and take up for any pulley alignment problems better than most others.
I use them on my supercharger.


P.S. If it's a first time fit on a custom design, i would buy a few belts, one a little longer and one a little shorter.

Is that 77" total length? Is that the exact length?


A serp belt is labled with 4 digits and "K" number. The "K" is your number of ribs. The first 3 numbers are "inches long" and the 4th digit is for tenths of an inch. For example a 1025K6 is a belt that is 102 & 5/10ths inches long. So your belt should be a 0770K6 or K60770 depending if it is Goodyear or Gates. But there could be different types of labeling. As long as you have those numbers you should be able to get them at any decent auto parts store.

The Gatorback is an excellent belt. It also seems that the "Gatorback" design lasts longer.

I sell Goodyear belts in my stores under the Service Champ brand and have had very good luck with them. From time to time I will get Gates from my local supplier when I am out of stock and have had good luck with them also.
