Default please help, im lost

I have an 92 lt1 6 speed and Im doing a nice 355 rebuilt, but Im having a nightmare finding a strong roller timing chain for my car because I will be buying the zex nitrous system and I will be spraying 125 or maybe even more and I don't want the timing chain to break. I already have the delteq ignition system and I will be using the mezeire hd water pump so can anybody running fast already with a 92 tell me which is the timing chain to buy PLEASE!!! please. thanks

I'm running the extreme duty g.m. timing chain on my 94,but i don't think it will work on a 92. Do a search for timing chains on this forum and see what comes up,or look at comp cams and see what they have.I don't think a 125 shot will break a chain. good luck

A 94 model timing chain won't work on my car and I was told a stock timing chain will break after 400/450 hp but don't quote me on that, I did a search and came up empty handed even call jegs and they had nothing for a 92 non vented opti car. I may spray more than 125 first things first but 125 is my base I didn't buy a main girdle for nothing. please help!!!

its time to upgrade your opti to the vented version and then you can run the GM extreme timing chain. I haven't heard of many, if any, people breaking timing chains.

timing chain breaking from 125 shot of NO2?? I wouldn't take advice from wherever that came from... The timing chain would be the last thing I'd worry about. Big cams (steep ramps...) and high spring pressures are going to stress the chain, and even then the factory chain is no slouch.

You should be fine with that. Just remember to start small with the nitrous and work your way up.
