First day at the strip in 2007, successful.
Well, after a long and crappy winter, Gateway dragstrip opened back up on March 24, I dusted off the vette and headed out there. Last October my best time was a 13.7 at 100mph, last Saturday I got two runs in before they politely asked me to get a helmet before I ran the car again. (anything faster than 13.9). The first pass I busted out a 13.6 and my second was a 13.4. Mines a 1993, 6-speed, with elementary modifications (chip, rear-end, wheels and tires). I was just wondering what times everyone else is putting down with LT1's out there.

Those are great #s for LT1s mostly stock. My stock 93 A4 ran best 13.8 at 103mph and 1.9s for 60'. You need to heat those tires up and get low 1.9 or 1.8 60' Theres more in there. Nice job!

My best time at Gateway is 12.37 @ 116mph. Maybe this year I'll get a little better 60' and a better ET. Just need to get an evening off work.
Oh, my LT1 has a few mods.

Gateway is about 10 minutes from St. Louis on the Illinois side of the river. I have raced at both Byron and Great Lakes, I'm originally from Arlington Heights but I have transplanted myself down near Edwardsville, IL. I always liked Byron better than Great Lakes, but if you get a chance come down this way, Gateway blows them both out of the water.

I have a 94 zf and have only been to the track once. Best time was a 13.36@106, stock. Tomorrow I'm off to the corvette challange, so we'll see how I do the second time around.

Did not fare well in the bracket racing though. I ordered a pair of wheels and bfg dr's the next day. I need a more consistant r/t. Going back to the track this friday to practice, because there is a double session of the challange this sat. My car has 60k on it, and as far as I know the original opti and clutch. Also just ordered a few small bolt on's. My goal is to break into the 12's with minimal mods, for now.
When you say rear-end does that mean you have 4.10's? If so how much did it lower your et? I'm thinking of that for my first big mod.
