Is the 02 sensor signal the oxygen sending unit?

Default Is the 02 sensor signal the oxygen sending unit?
I'm installing an air/fuel digital guage and it requires me to tap into the "signal wire on factory oxygen sending unit"--according to instructions. I want to be sure I'm using the right wire off my ecm. on the ecm-its row D7 purplewire. thanks

i have mine hooked to the purple wire off the o2 sensor.

ok cool...Thats the wire I thought it was. Hard to believe that wire will tell you whether your running rich or not...

Yep, tie into the purple wire for the O2 sensor.
