Default 8000 rpm tach in a lt1

Can a instrument cluster from a 96 lt4 car be used in a 96 lt1 car without any problems.

I can't see why not. I put one in my 95, and it was a simple swap. Tak the old one out and slip the new one in. Your odometer will remain correct, as mileage isn't stored in that unit.

I'm using an 8K 96 cluster in my 92. The only problem is the "Door AJAR" area has been replaced with "Brake Pressure Low". I'm working on redoing all the masks to fix the problem and keep the 8K scale.
