87 Cruise Control Problem, any ideas??
The cruise control doesn't work on the 87 I'm about to buy, any ideas on what to check to see if maybe I can fix it? Thanks in advance

Could be the Cruise control servo(about $220) located above the battery resembles a ufo, or could be a vacuum problem. Check and see if you have the big black vacuum ball in the driver's side front by the headlights and that the vacuum line from the servo is connected. :seeya :flag

on my '85 there was a vacuum hose that runs to the brake pedal switch that had rotted out. It runs under the master cylinder through the firewall. I replaced it with some fresh vacuum hose and it worked again.

Hey scorp, does your cruise seem to pulse? Say I set it to 70 mph it'll back off to 69 and add some gas and go at 70 for a while then back off to 69 yada yada..
