Default Oil is the trick

You place a small amount of oil under your tires and perform a brake stand.

If I remember correctly, it was not the owner doing the brakestand and they paid dearly because this video was used to convict them. ; )

That's Alex's car. Footage shot at Top Flight corvette in San Diego. The guy with the hawaiian accent talking is Lawton, the owner of Top Flight.

Its was a SC 355 with a ZF6. I don't remember the car being anything to do with callaway. Ran 11.2s if I remember correctly.
I haven't seen him in years, he used to live here in San Diego but moved up to Nor Cal. He had a few very fast cars. Along with a stroked ZR1 and TT Diablo.
He was on Pinks last season and lost with a car he bought on Ebay.

If not a Callaway, then what made the whirring noises at the end of the video??

Probably the Supercharger..(of course I don't have audio so I can't say)
However, that's not a normal 87-90 Callaway Hood...looks more like a later model hood.

Those scoops can be added

I suppose it could be a supercharger - Who has pics of this car otherwise???

This car is long gone. It was a carrol SC kit with a paxton.

The car was constantly undergoing different setups.
From what I remember about this car. It had the TPI setup with AS&M runner. No IC and made around 15psi of boost.
Very very fast car for back in the day.

That is 100% false.

We were doing burnouts with bleach and taped them in the Top Flight Corvette parking lot almost every weekend.

Still doing it today.

glad to hear nobody was convicted for a little tire smoking. I don't know anything about Top Flight Corvette. Is that a club in Cali??
