Hi guys. Every once in a while, the left hood latch on my 93 coupe pops open by itself. I think it's happening if I drive on a surface that causes the frame to flex a bit. Has anyone experienced this? Do I maybe just need to loosen the hood release cable? The right latch never pops open, only the left.

My 95 was doing the same thing.If you look under you hood you see the latch pin next is the rubber bumber out toward the edge of the hood is an alinement pin about 3/8" diameter. That pin is threaded with a lock nut on it.The lock nut on mine came loose,the pin was unscrewing out of the threaded area in the hood.As it gets longer it will allow the hood to close but does not allow the the latch to catch to latch pin completly and the hood would pop open.Tightened it up and no problems since.
