Default Newbi need help rough idle

I decided to start a new thread for this, I have a rough idle especially in drive. Its not as bad in park.
A forum member Chris suggested that replace several part, which I did
This is an 86 base model

I replaced the following:

O2 sensor
idle air valve
coolant temp sensor
spark plugs
spark plug wires
air filter
ALL vacuum hoses.

Did I miss something? And what is the normal idle speed supposed to be on this car?
any help will be greatly appreciated.

Tony

Adjust your timing and see if that helps. You could be anywhere from 550 to 750 rpm based on what your engine likes.

If EVERYTHING has been replaced, and timing does not help, you may need to look at a faulty injector.

Thanks Bill,

I have been thinking injectors, there the originals.
I'll also check timing, haven't don that for a long time, will need to buy a timing light.

I'm going to suggest you get a scanner so you can see what the ECM wants the engine speed to be and we might be able to deduce why. By rough, do you mean it is hunting up and down or unsteady? It could be an air leak if it is higher than it should be. You cannot set idle speed without reprogramming the ECM unless you push it so far out of line it cannot compensate.
