Broken oil filter adapter..
Hi all!!
when i pulled my oil pan last time, i noticed something, and i found out, why my oil filter, better the water-oil cooler was always dripping....
this nice part was cracked...
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku
anyways, i got a new one, installed it on the block, torqued the water-oil cooler handtight, started to turn with the ratched...a light cracking noise..part was broken again...and this occured in the first 1/4 turn with the ratchet..so no extrem torque...
i will make one of steel tomorrow, but it would be interesting, if someone of you made similar experiences....i dont like such injection mold castings, as they are not very strong...
regards

Steel is definitely good. Are there other mfg.'s for a remote than the GMMP? I am not that crazy about their cast allum. parts to begin with, I would suspect milodon, canton etc. might have some better alternatives.
