Corsa Exhaust...86-91 who's bought it?
Who's bought a corsa exhaust for their 1986-1991 corvette?
How does it sound?
Any resonance?
Was it worth it and are you happy with it?

I have the L98 Corsa on my "91" and it is awesome. No resonance and quality is very good. Here is a sound clip I posted weeks ago.

Here's the L98 Corsa Catback before installation. I later had a muffler shop weld all the joints.

Put the L98 Corsa cat-back on my 87 last year. I previously had stock mufflers that gave out a raspy noise when I was loafing along in traffic at anything under 1100 rpm with any load at all. That has been quieted a lot. On the highway, I hear them growl through the floorboards when I apply the throttle at all to climb a hill. etc.. I do not think it is what you would call drone, and I only hear it if the windows are all the way up. I may have other issues; who knows?
(deteriorated pre-cats, high flow main cat, old man's sensitive ears)
All said, I would not trade them for anything else. They look great on the car, and I love to listen to the rumble from outside when the cabin is open. Don't pay list! They are available through Whoesale Parts Warehouse at a discount, and I got TByrne to beat that price.

So does it matter if I have an automatic or not?
anybody hear the rumors that if you own an automatic C4 that the corsa's will also resonate?
was wondering if any truth to this.
Also I heard that clip, sounded good but is hard to distinguish, does the corsa sound more higher pitched, like an indy car exhaust or is it more low and bassy. I am trying for a higher pitched, the low bass droan noise just is wearing on my ears.

The soundclip I posted is of the Corsa's installed on my "91" L98 Automatic they don't resonate also, the sound is more of a higher pitch not a bassy droan.
In my opinion, the Corsa's should've been installed from the factory.

Corsa has fake tips...
Keep in mind the tips are fake, that's right BOGUS, 1 per muffler according to Jeff Mackovich, a rep at Corsa. Also, the tips stick out past the rear bumper like a those low-rider Hondas driven by College kids.
I'm staying stock until I hear a Corsa in Person.

The Corsa outer tip is NOT Fake. The rep you talked to is misinformed.
I'm making another Video Proving that by blocking off the inner (primary tips) that the outer tips still flow exhaust. I'll have the video ready in another Post in about an hour after my camcorder battery charges. I'll also, post the video here a few threads down.

Please prove me wrong because I would buy the Corsa if I knew for a fact that both tips were functional!
Now, how do you prevent the tips from sticking out?

Thanks GKK...
Well, I guess Jeff Mackovich (Corsa rep) is dead wrong, he lied or he knows zero about the product he sells.
But your paper strands don't move very much, what about the theory if you WOT the Corsa, the blocked off tips open up big time?

When you go WOT 99% of the exhaust flows through the Primary tips. That's what they're designed for. The Outer tips are there to control resonance they don't suddenly open up or anything.
