Default Fuel Injectors - 94 LT1 - Ford 24lb

Folks,

I have a '94 6 speed with a few failed fuel injectors and decided to replace them all.

Since the Ford 24 lb seem to recommended by most here, I need to know what re-tuning is required to make them run correctly.

I've seen posts regarding installing an adjustable fuel regulator, but no data on what the correct FP should be (e.g. adjust to what Ford says these deliver 24 lb.hr., 39.5 psi....I believe).

Or if anyone has had any experience adjusting it to a certain number and any other effects this may of caused.

If I go down the ECM tuning route, specific values (pulse width) that would be needed, in addition to any other tips.

Thanks in advance,

Bob

Most, not all the guys I've either talked with or chatted back and forth on the forum have either been happy with no problems or said they were running rich. Some of them have went with the AFPR.I was reading some of the info on TunerPro RT, he suggested 50#, I also read where, I think it was TJWong suggesting 55#. Try to verify what this old guy is saying, you can pull up the TunerPro RT site on the web.
Or, if no one else chimes in, send a personal message to TJWong.

Should drop right in with no problems. The 24lb'ers are within the range the ecm will adj for. Now if you're in to recalibrating your ecm, that's another story. We've put them in L-98's for years with no problems or tuning necessary

Drop them in and run them, they will work out just fine. They maybe a tad rich side, but the PCM should be able to correct without any problems. I have used the 24lb injectors for general replacements for a long time, and I have never had any problems with them. If you are using them in some early TPI cars that used a 19lb injectors then a recalibration is necessary. Otherwise the late model cars will do just fine.

You don't buy them from Ford, they're aftermarket ones sold for Mustangs. They're in all the Mstang mags, and you should be able to find them on a Mustang forum. Perhaps someone else on the forum knows better where to get them. I got mine from a buddy who's into Mustangs.

Thanks for the replies. I'm curious as to how rich they run initially until the PCM leans them out a bit.

I'll order them tomorrow and report back with some before/after scans to aid anyone else with this change.

Thanks again.........

BTW, P/N is FMS-M-9593-A302.

Locally (Ohio) none of the Ford Dealers carry them due to profit margins, so I'll be ordering them from Summit
